A fascinating and fun-packed mixture of song, verse and people’s stories. This is a very different take on social history through the voices of song writers, poets and also the voices of ordinary (and often extraordinary) people. Although this is NOT a singing group you may find yourself moved to join in from time to time! Through songs, stories, personal anecdotes and poems we learn and laugh in equal measure.
The group meets in the evening at 7pm until around 9pm on the last Thursday of each month. We meet at the Working Men's Club (locally called The Geordie Club) just a short way from the Calverton Village Square. If you are interested in joining us please contact the convenor.
